About
18xxBelgium is a Belgian non-profit association (vzw) that organises the Belgian 18xx Convention in Mechelen. It grew out of the 18xx players at Spellenclub Mechelen and has been running the event since 2018, attracting an international crowd of 40 to 60 players to each edition.
The convention is held twice a year at Saint Rumbold's College in Mechelen's historic centre: a spring edition from Friday to Monday around Pentecost, and a winter edition from Friday to Sunday, usually in late November. Experienced players host and teach a wide range of 18xx titles following a session schedule, designers and publishers present new releases and prototypes, and Saturday ends with a convention drink and barbecue.
