About
18PDX, long known as the Portland 18xx Convention, is a gathering for 18xx players in the Pacific Northwest, held every June in Portland, Oregon. It is one of the longest-running 18xx events in the United States: its 2020 edition, played online during the pandemic, was billed as the 22nd annual convention.
The event lasts four days, from Thursday to Sunday, at the Hilton Garden Inn Portland Airport. Attendees bring games and local players lend their collections, so a wide range of 18xx titles is on hand, and several designers regularly bring prototypes to play and discuss. Games are planned on the 18PDX Discord. It is a small, friendly event; a 2017 report counted about 30 to 35 people.
