団体について

Spellenclub Mechelenは、ベルギーのメヘレンにあるボードゲームとカードゲームのクラブで、2017年に設立され、2018年に非営利団体（vzw）として登録されました。軽いパーティーゲームから長く重い戦略ゲームまで、あらゆるプレイヤーが集まります。火曜と土曜の定例ゲーム会は現在、地元の店De Spelfanaatが運営しており、クラブは丸一日のゲームマラソン、フランデレンのBFVS大会に出場するチーム、独自の大会、会員向けの年1回のゲーム合宿に力を入れています。

ベルギーの18xxシーンが根づいたのもこのクラブです。周りに集まった18xxプレイヤーの中核が独立団体18xxBelgiumへと発展し、メヘレンで年2回Belgian 18xx Conventionを開いています。
