The passion for railroads on the table

18xx.cat is the community dedicated to 18xx family board games in Catalonia. We are a group of players passionate about railway management, stock markets, and building routes that shape a nation's economy.

The 18xx games are one of the deepest and most complex families in the board game world. Combining economic, strategic elements and interpersonal negotiation, each game is a unique experience that can last between 3 and 12 hours.

We want to create a reference space in Catalonia for enthusiasts of this genre: a place to learn, share, and above all, enjoy the best family of economic management games ever created.

Do You Have Questions?

No! At events there's room for all levels. You'll come without experience and leave with the basics to enjoy any 18xx. The only requirement is curiosity and willingness to learn.
It depends on the event. The country house gathering will be a small and intimate format. We'll announce available spots for each event on the Telegram group.
It's not necessary. The organization will provide a game library with the main titles. If you want to bring your own games for free play, you're always welcome.
Official activities will be conducted in Catalan and Spanish. For open games, each table will organize in the language the group prefers. 18xx games don't require much text, so the language barrier is minimal.
The best way is to join our Telegram group. There we'll announce dates, spots, locations, and any news about the 18xx.cat community.
